The Ministry of Science and Technology has just issued Circular 01/2025/TT-BKHCN which amends and supplements some Articles of Circular 08/2021/TT-BTTTT on band frequencies opened for public use.
Below are the highlighted features for your reference:
- MoST open Wifi 6GHz in Vietnam. The allowed frequency band for Wifi 6GHz will be 5925-6425MHz. Detailed requiements can be found in the new Circular.
- MoST adjust the one frequency band for wireless charger in Vietnam.
Previously, the allowed frequencies were 326.5kHz, 340kHz and a band of 353-373.5kHz. Now, it changes to 315-400kHz. Detailed requiements can be found in the new Circular.
The new Circular 01/2025/TT-BTTTT will be effective from May 15, 2025.
BDC’s suggestions on this new Circular are as follows:
- For approved products which have the Wifi 6GHz function, the existing type approval certificate will still be valid as Wifi 6GHz function is mandatory to SDoC only (based on the draft Circular which will replace Circular 02/2024/TT-BTTTT).
However, in order for the manufacturers to activate their Wifi 6GHz technology in a certain product, they need to obtain the local reports (on QCVN47 and QCVN18) for Wifi 6GHz in order to make sure that the product is in compliance with Vietnamese regulation.

- For Wireless charger which not only operate at 326.5kHz, 340kHz and in the band of 353-373.5kHz, the frequency bands can be broader and in the range of 315-400kHz, your client need to get the new RF EMC report for the SDoC process.
