MoST has just released a draft EMC standard which will apply for 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G NR and LTE NB-IoT. This new standard may be QCVN 86:2025/BKHCN.
The new QCVN 86:2025/BKHCN is equivalent to EN 310 489-52 v1.3.1 (2024-11). It is expected to be valid from Jan. 01, 2026.
Below is the application plan for this new standard:
- From Jan. 01, 2026 to Dec. 31, 2026:
+ 2G, 3G, 4G device can use either QCVN 86:2019/BTTTT or QCVN 86:2025/BKHCN for the SDoC process
+ 5G NR, LTE NB-IoT device can use either QCVN 18:2022/BTTTT or QCVN 86:2025/BKHCN for the SDoC process
- From Jan. 01, 2027:
2G, 3G, 4G, 5G NR and LTE NB-IoT devices are mandatory to apply the new standard, QCVN 86:2025/BKHCN, for the SDoC process.
Now, the local lab is preparing for applying the accreditation from MoST for this new standard. They will be ready before Jan. 01, 2026.
