On 5 September 2023, MIC of Vietnam issued Circular 10/2023/TT-BTTTT to temporarily suspend the enforcement of some Articles of Circular 04/2023/TT-BTTTT on the list of products required for TA certification and/or SDoC. Remarkable notes under this Circular 10/2023/TT-BTTTT are as follows:
(1) Temporarily suspend the enforcement of requirements on tests under extreme conditions as provided in a number of standards (QCVNs) applicable to 2G/3G/4G terminal equipments, WLAN, NFC devices, SRDs equipment etc. Suspension time shall last until 31 December 2023 or 1 July 2024 (depending on each QCVN).
During the suspension time, granted TA certificates shall not cover certification for the product in extreme conditions and this part of certification shall be required for update after the suspension period.
(2) Temporarily suspend the enforcement of standards (QCVN) applicable to 5G technology (5G terminal equipment, 5G base-station) such as QCVN127:2021/BTTTT, QCVN128:2021/BTTTT, QCVN129:2021/BTTTT, QCVN18:2022/BTTTT. Suspension period shall last until 31 December 2023 and it is expected by MIC that after this suspension period, local labs can perform local tests on 5G technology.
During the suspension time, granted TA certificates shall not cover certification on 5G technology but after 31 December 2023 when local labs are able to perform 5G tests, those TA certificates must be updated with 5G certification.
